Artist Statement
I like taking pictures of people. My art is an expression of the various forms of the human condition. I have a vision of what it looks like and I create it with stylized vignettes. Some of the ideas are cerebral, some completely expressive.
Historically, photography is about documentation. I prefer to explore the idea of where the documentary aspect of what I create and the surreal cross. It’s an abstraction of an idea, or my interpretation of the human condition metaphorically adapted to the surreal.
Bruce lives in the Napa Valley with his his secret muse
and his dog Evil Pugslee Sue.
